This Privacy Policy explains how WeightWise collects, uses, and shares information from people who visit tryweightwise.com or use our services. It is written in plain English on purpose.

Information we collect

  • Information you provide. When you request a provider match, sign up for a member account, contact us, or purchase a digital product, you give us information such as name, email, phone, ZIP code, state, and details about your health goals.
  • Health-related information you voluntarily share. Some forms and tools ask about height, weight, BMI, insurance type, and treatment interest. We collect this only to provide the service you requested.
  • Automatic information. Like most websites, we collect device, browser, IP address, referral source, and usage data through cookies and analytics tools.

How we use information

  • To match you with licensed providers when you request that match
  • To deliver digital products, member tools, and communications you sign up for
  • To improve the site, content, and tools
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud

When we share information

  • Licensed providers. When you request a provider match, we share the information you submit with vetted participating providers in your state.
  • Service providers. Vendors who host the site, send emails, process payments, or provide analytics, under written agreements that limit their use of your information.
  • Legal reasons. If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of users or the public.
  • Affiliate links. When you click a product recommendation and complete a purchase, the merchant may share aggregate referral information with us. We do not sell your individual information to advertisers.
  • Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared or sold to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Phone numbers you provide for provider matching are shared only with the licensed providers you explicitly request to be contacted by.

SMS / text message program

If you opt in to the WeightWise SMS program, we collect the mobile phone number you provide and a record of your opt-in (timestamp, page, IP address, and consent language shown). We use this information to send the messages you consented to and to honor opt-out requests.

Frequency: Up to 6 messages per month per program (marketing and service). Message and data rates may apply.

HELP and STOP: Reply HELP to any WeightWise text message for help. Reply STOP to any WeightWise text message to opt out at any time.

We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes, including affiliates and advertising partners. Opt-in data is used only to operate the SMS program you subscribed to.

Communications and consent

If you opt in to email, SMS, or phone contact, you can change your preferences or unsubscribe at any time through the member tools dashboard, by replying STOP to any text message, or by contacting privacy@tryweightwise.com. Consent is not required to use educational resources on the site.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, measure performance, and improve the site. You can configure your browser to refuse cookies, but some site features may not work properly.

Your choices and rights

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your information
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications
  • Opt out of certain data sharing under state privacy laws (e.g., California, Colorado, Virginia)

Children

WeightWise is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from people under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to members.
